South Korean Prime Minister Visits Bangladesh - 2002-11-09


The visiting South Korean Prime Minister, Mr. Kim Suk-soo, said, that his country would come up with increased investment and cooperation in power, telecommunications, ICT and railway sectors in Bangladesh.

He gave his assurance when Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia urged the Korean Prime Minister to invest substantially in Bangladesh during the meeting between the two Prime Ministers. The two prime ministers discussed a range of bilateral, regional and international issues.

Bangladesh and South Korea signed two separate agreements on Saturday for the improvement of Bangladesh Railway and telecommunication.

Prime Minister Kim Suk Soo extended an invitation to Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia to visit South Korea. Begum Khaleda Zia accepted the invitation and invited the South Korean President to Bangladesh.
