A Bangladeshi official says that during the ongoing joint anti-crime campaign in Bangladesh , called " Operation Clean Heart" , on an average ten illegal arms are being recovered each day. So far 24,347 members of army are involved in this operation and 20,582 operations have been carried out all over Bangladesh. He says that 7026 people have been arrested so far of which 1675 are known criminals. According to the official 1194 firearms have been recovered during the campaign , of which there were some modern weapons including AK47 and M15 Rifles.
