Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia is going on a five-day official visit to China from December 23 at the invitation of Chinese Prime Minister Zhu Rongji. Her delegation will include Finance and Planning Minister M.Saifur Rahman, Foreign Minister M. Morshed Khan, Post and Telecommunications Minister Barrister Md. Aminul Haque, State Minister for Communications Salauddin Ahmed, State Minister for Agriculture Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Amanullah Aman.
A 30-member business delegation led by Executive Chairman of the Board of Investment Mahmudur Rahman will be part of the Prime Minister's delegation during her visit to China.
The Prime Minister will hold official talks with Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji on December 24. Begum Zia will also meet President Jiang Zemin, Chairman of the NPC Li Peng and Vice President Hu Jintao, the newly elected General Secretary of Chinese Communist Party and other senior Chinese leaders.
