A massive anti- war procession was held in Kolkata , the capital of the Indian state of West Bengal . It is estimated that nearly 300,000 people from all walks of life took part in this huge and colorful anti war march. The prominent leaders of the ruling leftist front , cultural and social activists , women and children were seen in this procession which started from All India Radio Building in central kolkata and finished at Desh Bandhu Park in North Kolkata. Demonstrations , public meetings, rallies and processions against the US led war in Iraq has been a regular feature in Kolkata.
