A huge demonstration organized by several Islamic Fundamentalists were held in Dhaka on Friday. The demonstrators protested the arrest of the deposed Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein and called for immediate American withdrawl from Iraq. The Khatib of the National Mosque of Bangladesh, Mr Obaidullah strongly criticised the US government and warned that it would be making a mistake if it tried to hold Saddam's trial unilaterally. Similar demonstrations and protests were held elsewhere in Bangladesh.
