Manzur Morshed Khan Labu, general secretary of Sonadanga unit of the main opposition Awami League, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital after suffering serious injuries in a bomb attack by assailants in Khulna on January 29. Awami League has called for strike on February 7th. Information Minister Tariqul Islam said government is taking steps curb violence in Khulna.
