On Human Rights in Bangladesh : Kamal Hossain dismayed by Government's inaction

Human Rights Watch has expressed its concerns on several occasions in the worsening law and order situation in Bangladesh where it is alleged that the acts of crime and terror have gone unabated.

Dr Kamal Hossain , in an exclusive interview with Voice of America , Bangla service has expressed his deepest concerns and profound anger that probes and punishments about crime and terror lacks in transparency. The eminent constitutional lawyer and a former foreign minister of Bangladesh, Dr Hossain narrates the horrific events of bomb blast and grenade attacks in Bangladesh in 2004 and regrets that despite moves by the civil society in Bangladesh , the government has taken no positive measures to curb the criminals.

Dr Kamal Hossain , was one of those intellectuals in Bangladesh who have been termed as an apostate ( Murtad) and threatened by the Islamic fundamentalists.
