Major General Moeen U. Ahmed has been appointed chief of army staff for a three-year term effective June 15. Bangladesh Ministry of Defense made the announcement. He succeeds Lt General Hasan Mashhud Chowdhury who will retire on June 15 on completion of his tenure of service.
