India’s election commission has announced the date of election in West Bengal, Gujrat and Goa for the members of Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian parliament. The election is scheduled to be held on July14 , this year. Six Rajya Sabha members elected from West Bengal complete their term on August 18,2005. Election commission sources say that a notification about this election will be published on June 26 and all process relating to the election would be completed by July 19. The last date for the submission of the nomination paper is July4,2005.
