Prime Minister Khaleda Zia speaking at a meeting of the Japan-Bangladesh Parliamentary League (JBPL) at the Green Hall of Akasaka Prince Hotel in Japan said that the Bangladesh parliament is sovereign although there are some problems in making it truly functional. She blamed the opposition for “unfair demands”.
JBPL President Shin Shakurai MP, Vice-President Wakako Harinakaw and Adviser Hajame Ishi also addressed the meeting. The Prime Minister is on a five-day official visit to Japan.
