Indian Tea Workers End Strike

About 400,000 striking tea plantation workers in India, the world's largest tea producer, returned to work on Tuesday after a pact on new production-linked wages, industry officials and union leaders said.

The two-week strike had shut down hundreds of tea estates in the country's eastern region, the largest tea-producing area, and hit output and exports, tea industry officials said.
