The Chief Minister of the Indian state of West Bengal was invited to attend an Annual Conference of the US-India Business Council in Washington by a former US Ambassador to India . Nearly 450 Industrialists from USA are scheduled to meet at Washington on June 22.
But the Chief Minister Buddhadev Bhattacharya will not be able to attend the meeting because of the Budget Session of the State Assembly in West Bengal.
Mr Bhattacharya’s US visit is considered important for drawing investments to that state. However the Chief Minister has still not decided when exactly he would be able to visit the US.
