Saifur Rahman , the finance minister of Bangladesh has defended the budget he proposed in Bangladesh National Parliament for the fiscal year 2006-2007.
In a post budget press conference Saifur denies the allegation that a huge sum of money allocated in the budget will be badly spent for the ruling party’s electioneering purposes . He was also critical against terming this budget as an “ Election Budget” , however he agreed that it was a popular budget. .
