Painter and sculptor Nitun Kundu, one of the people leading the war of independence in cultural arena, died at the age of 71 in Dhaka in the morning on Friday.
Nitun was on life support at the Ibrahim Memorial Cardiac Centre after suffering from cardiac and renal disorders. The physicians said Nitun was taken to the hospital on Tuesday after he became unconscious at work in his factory at Shyampur. He also had a chest pain when he was returning home from Malaysia on Monday.
