AL Leader Announces More Agitation Program, Demands Resignation of Chief Adviser of Caretaker Government

The Awami League-led Grand Alliance leader Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday announced a series of fresh agitation programs including non-stop siege of President’s residence Bangabhaban from January 14, countrywide blockade on January 14-15 and 17-18 and continued strike on January 21-22 across the country.

The Grand alliance is demanding the resignation of President Iajuddin Ahmed from the post of chief adviser to the caretaker government, reform of the Election Commission and a properly updated voter list. Sheikh Hasina said that the agitation would continue until Mr. Iajuddin resigns from his chief adviser post.
