Khoka Criticizes BNP Leadership, Hannan Shah Disagrees

Sadeq Hossain Khoka, the President of Dhaka City BNP and the Mayor of Dhaka has held BNP’s leaders responsible for the present debacle in the party.

He said that the age of retirement for the judges were increased, the caretaker government under the President could not work. He said that a brilliant possibility came up when Awami League and BNP General Secretary sat for a dialogue but BNP did not want any positive result from that dialogue and hence it eventually failed.

Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) Mayor Sadeque Hossain Khoka said on Friday, it is the best time to reduce the BNP chairperson's power to make unilateral decisions as the party is mature now.

However, Brigadier (retired) Hannan Shah, Advisor to BNP Chairperson said that Khoka is saying all these, in order to avoid arrests and perhaps he is trying to please the present military backed government.
