West Bengal Plans to Irrigate More Agricultural Land

In West Bengal, 1.3 million acres of more agricultural land will be irrigated. At the same time 0.3 million acres of non-arable land will be turned into arable land.

Since agricultural land is taken for industrial development, this will be a way of compensating it. West Bengal Finance Minister, Asim Dasgupta said 70 percent of the total agricultural land is now arable.
