US Congressman from New York Joseph Crowley has praised the heroics of Hasan Askari, a Bangladeshi Muslim student living in New York.
Speaking in the house floor Congressman Crowley has said that Hasan had risked his own safety and his life to defend a group of Jewish youth who were attacked at a New York subway.
The only passenger who came to their defense was a Bangladeshi Muslim youth Hasan Askari.
