Shop owners at all shopping malls and markets located in the metropolitan cities and district and upazila towns in Bangladesh have been asked to close their business by 8:00pm every day with immediate effect to limit peak-hour power consumption.
Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser for Energy and Power Ministry M Tamim gave the directive during a meeting with the leaders of Bangladesh Shop Owners Association at the energy ministry on Tuesday.
