German Wholesaler Company Threatens Not to Invest in Eastern India

`Metro Cash & Carry`, a German wholesale giant, has threatened to leave Calcutta if it is not allowed to get license to conduct business.

Metro officials and German Consul General in Calcutta met the Bengal chief minister to convey a stern message that Metro`s exit will stop all future German investment in entire eastern India.

Forward Block, a partner in Bengal`s Left Front government thinks that entry of such giants will harm the small wholesalers.
