BNP representatives met with Government advisers in its second round of dialogue.

Khandaker Delwar Hossain said the meeting was very positive.
Apparently the government agreed in principle on six of
the party's seven demands. Commerce
Adviser Hossain Zillur Rahman said there were differences of opinion only on
the issue of holding of upazila elections. Chief Adviser Fakhruddin Ahmed led
the government side at the talks.
Awami League representatives also met with the government. Awami league
presented a nine-point demand including
Sheikh Hasina's unconditional release, withdrawal of the state of emergency,
deferment of upazila elections etcetra.
