Dr. Debapriyo Bhattacharya, Bangladesh Ambassador to the UN European Headquarters in Geneva recently visited UN in New York and addressed the General Assembly.
Ambassador Bhattacharya who is also an eminent economist is President of UNCTAD.
In an interview with Voice of America, he spoke about his UN trip and the global financial crisis, it's impact in developing nations and least developed countries. Dr. Bhattacharya also talked about the weekend meeting initiated by President Bush in Washington on the global economic problem.
