Bus operators in and around Calcutta went on strike protesting against a new rule.
Under the new rule , drivers who causes fatal accident will be jailed without bail. The new rule comes from a Supreme Court ruling to curb growing street accidents caused by reckless driving.
However, Calcutta busmen emboldened by trade union support, hit the street to protest.
