Bangladesh Requests Malaysian Government To Reconsider “Visa” Decision

Bangladesh formally requested Malaysian government to reconsider the decision to cancel visas for over 55,000 Bangladeshi workers who were leaving for Malaysia.

Foreign Minister Dipu Moni told newsmen the Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh had a meeting in this connection with the Malaysian Ambassador in Dhaka today.

Meanwhile, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Hasan Mahmud said Bangladesh is expecting the problem to be resolved soon after the Malaysian election, which is going to be held on March 30th.
