A Bangladeshi  Dies of H1N1 in Mexico

Bangladesh Health Minister AFM Ruhal Haque confirmed the death of a Bangladeshi in Mexico citing Mexican officials.

Mexico's National Epidemiological Centre said that the only foreign national among the dead was a Bangladeshi man who had been in the country for six months working as a street vendor.

He also said the government was put on alert after Mexican officials confirmed that one of eight people who died of swine flu there was from Bangladesh.

Health minister said that Bangladesh officials have been working closely with the World Health Organization (WHO) as officials in Mexico work to pin down the origin of the H1N1 swine flu.
