US Secretary of State Calls Bangladesh Foreign Minister, Gives Assurance of Continued Cooperation

US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton praised Dhaka's endeavor for development and promised continued cooperation in combating terrorism and negating impacts of climate change when she telephoned Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni.

According to a press release of the Bangladesh foreign ministry, the US secretary of state also promisedher country's continued assistance and cooperation for Bangladesh in combatingterrorism, building regional cooperation, empowerment of women, rights of children and other related issues, and to mitigate the dangers posed by climate change and deteriorating environment.

Ms. Clinton also mentioned the contribution of the expatriate Bangladeshis to the United States referring to those living in her constituency in New York.
