Professor Pabitra Sarkar is a linguist, writer, and former Vice Chancellor of Rabindra Bharati University of Kolkata.
Professor Sarkar recently attended an international book fair in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
He was the chief guest of a symposium at the fair. Professor Sarkar is also participating in a joint venture between Bangladesh and West Bengal to produce a modern Grammar book.
In an interview with Voice of America, Professor Sarkar spoke about his publications, book fair and other projects.
