Chief of the Investigation Agency which is probing crimes against humanity during Bangladesh’s liberation war, voluntarily resigned from his post.

Abdul Matin resigned over a debate after a government advisor alleged that Matin was an activist of the Islami Chhatra Shangha (ICS), student wing of the fundamentalist Jamaat-e-Islami.

Mr. Matin handed over his resignation letter to Home Secretary Abdus Sobhan Sikder at his secretariat office.

Amir Khasru has the details.
