Once again Bangladesh was in the grip of a severe cold wave. The tempareture was 8.3 degree Celsius in Dhaka and 4.3 degree Celsius in "Chuadanga" in the west.
Dr. H B M Iqbal, a former Awami League MP, was sent to jail for his alleged involvement in the much-talked Malibagh murder case. Dr. Iqbal appeared before the Speedy Trail Tribunal of Dhaka division but the judge rejected his bail petition.
