This edition of the series focusses on the success of democracy in a provincial election in the erstwhile East Bengal in 1954 , the subsequent dismissal of this elected government by the central government in Pakistan, in-fights amongst the politicians and conspiracy by the military resulting eventually in the first martial law in Pakistan.
