At a meeting with the American Commerce Association in Dhaka, US-AID Country Representative in Bangladesh Gene George said Bangladesh is yet to meet its goal in education, population control and anti-corruption efforts. He also mentioned that US AID has provided $460 million in aid to Bangladesh in the past 30 years.
