Dr.Farida C Khan – Professor of Economics,University of Wisconsin,Parkside, talks about present time US economy. U.S. President Barack Obama's popularity appears to be growing alongside the U.S. economy, a good sign for a president who hopes to win a new term in November. In the last several months, the economy has grown, the stock market has seen a rather sharp rise, and unemployment fell to 8.3 percent -- the lowest rate since Mr. Obama took office. Dr.Khan thinks the economy will keep growing though in a slow pace. .In an interview with Bangla’s Kabir , Farida also said that the federal job sector has not expanded and rather it is curtailed to some extent. She also believes the Euro debt crisis and Greece austerity measures will have very little effect on U.S. economy.
