We analyze the impacts which the entire opposition movement may have due to the change in the leadership in Syria's main exiled opposition group Syrian National Council. We spoke to Dr. Michael Ryan a Scholar in the Middle East Institute and a Senior Fellow of the Jamestown Foundation in Washington DC. Ryan said the SNC wanted to lower the Islamist profile on the Council and that is part of the reason why they chose Sieda who is a secular academic. Ryan also talks about the challenges which Seida might face as well as the ways in which the new leader might bring in unifications amongst the divided opposition .
