There were not too many top-level delegates this year like in the past. There are some deputies and mid-level and ambassadorial representation in most part this year. At the plenary session, the Secretary General and other delegates have presented issues faced by the Rohingya people. Three major points were made: (1) the Secretary General and heads of delegations affirming their commitment to defending the rights of the Rohingya people and their rights to return to their homeland in Myanmar with guarantee for rights, security, and peace; (2) the delegations praising the role of Bangladesh in hosting the Rohingya refugees by deep humanitarian concern; (3) the Secretary General stressed the need to support the Genocide case brought by the Gambia against Myanmar in the international court of justice, and in this context he called on the OIC member states and international partners to support the fund for the ICJ case.
