Translation Summary: Mr. Mohammad Faisal (27) who has been living Camp-23 of Shamlapur, Baharchhara, Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar since 2017 says there is a good relationship between their own community and the host community. However, on January 12, 2021, the CIC announced that the Rohingyas in Camp 23 would be relocated to different camps and already 350 families have been relocated to other camps. He said the Rohingyas were upset at the initial stage but supported the government's decision later. Mr. Aminullah (45) & Md. Karimullah (50) live in Camp-23 of Shamlapur, Baharchhara, Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar since 2017. Aminullah said to the VOA; that to his knowledge, the government has taken steps to close Rohingya Camp-23 in Baharchhar Shamlapur considering it as a tourist area. For this reason, the process of relocation of Rohingyas from this camp has started. He added that many people have already been transferred to different camps but he has not yet been included in the list. And Md. Karimullah (50) said, some Rohingyas from Shamlapur Camp-23 have gone to Bhasanchar in two phases and the government is taking the rest of the Rohingyas to different camps and has started this work from 13th January, 2021.
