The current situation in Yangon, as usual, people are going out and doing business, but people are watching carefully what will happen next. Taking power by the Myanmar military is not because of election fraudulence (it is absolutely wrong) for which they accused NLD, but because of: First, the lifetime of Commander-in-Chief of Min Aung Hlaing will be expired in June 2021. In this case, he tried to get the approval of the President for the next 4 years, but in vain. Secondly, he owned a lot of properties in illegal way and in order to protect them, he took the power. Finally, what the matter most is to crack down or destroy the NLD party and their leaders, especially focused on Ms Aung San Suu Kyi because there is no any competitor like her in Myanmar, i.e, no one can compete her to win election. He said, International pressure can help the military power to step down , but people are saying ICJ, and ICC can do more than others because they are criminals in accordance with international laws. So, people are talking we heard that ICJ and ICC role is crucial and the only way to let the the military power to step down. Though there will not be difference (between military & NLD government) on the issues of Rohingya refugee repatriation, we, Rohingya are to take care not getting caught in the trap of military. Military can or will organize Rohingya, especially so called Rohingya leaders (pro-military). I want to urge to those leaders who are inside and outside of Myanmar to take part unitedly for the best of Rohingya people through Civic and Community engagement to take step forward, Report: VOA News Related item code: 9-P Duration: 5:43 minutes Reporter: Mohammed Idris Abdullah (Cox’s Bazar) Topic: A Rohingya, Resident of Yangon Talked about the Current Situation of Burma and Expressed Opinion Regarding Myanmar’s Military Coup Translation Summary: A Rohingya who is unwilling to mention his name and lives in Yangon said that the current situation is dire in Yangon, Myanmar to VOA when VOA interview via phone. 90%- 95 % civilian people have done 30 minutes’ demonstration at 800 AM to 8:30 AM this morning.
