Translation Summary: Nay San Lwin, a Rohingya activist told VOA Rohingya Lifeline that the ongoing Spring Revolution in Burma is different from the 1988 uprising, the number one actor of this revolution is the youth and the other one is CDM (Civil Disobedience Movement), the revolution started with the efforts of these 2 main actors. The NUG (National Unity Government) has been receiving international support but is not yet recognized as a legitimate government. The NUG has formed an armed wing called the PDF (People Defense Forces) which is badly in need of international assistance and needs the help of weapons to build them into a modern army. Another important point is that Chin, Kachin, Karen, and all other ethnic armed groups are not participating enough with the NUG government, which is why the NGU formed an armed wing, which they plan to form as the Federal Army. The People's Defense Forces have to fight against a very strong military institution (Myanmar military), they have the support of China and Russia. It seems that there is no possibility of victory against the Myanmar junta by acting diplomatically. Therefore, achieving a victory against the junta requires the support of all ethnic armed groups and the support of the international community for the PDF, otherwise, it may fail. However, we have a great expectation because the youth and the people of CDM have actively participated in the revolution.

We, the Rohingya, are now facing systematic persecution by two groups in Arakan state, one Rakhine and the other military. The Rakhine community has opposed NUG's statement on the Rohingya issue and has held internal talks with the Myanmar junta, but not publicly. This is a very difficult time for us, including the refugee repatriation process and the protection of the remaining Rohingya people inside Arakan. Now, we have to face the challenge of two groups in Rakhine State, one is Rakhine and the other military. It is now imperative to form a revolutionary group of Rohingyas after our diplomacy to respond appropriately against the enemy. According to the analysis, there is no solution to protect the Rohingya people through diplomacy, advocacy, writing statements, and other activities without a strong revolutionary group on the ground. But we have had good t
