Former West Bengal chief minister Jyoti Basu wants Lalu Prasad and Ram Vilas Paswan to unite in order to keep the Bharatiya Janata Party away from the corridors of power in Bihar.
Meanwhile, asserting that the party was committed to formation of secular governments in Bihar and Jharkhand, Congress on Monday said party chief Sonia Gandhi would hold talks with Rashtriya Janata Dal’ s Chief Lalu Prasad and Lok Janshakti party leader Ram Vilas Paswan on the crucial issue.
