Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) and Border Security Force (BSF) of India traded gunfire yesterday on Kasibari border over an Indian bid to erect fences 150 yards off the zero point at Ramgarh of Khagrachhari district. Paramilitary BDR also enforced a red alert on Bangladesh frontiers while locals fled their houses fearing escalation of firing between the border forces, officials reports said.
