The out-going US Ambassador to Bangladesh, Harry K Thomas was full of praises for the people of Bangladesh. In an exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service Ambassador Thomas mentioned about his extensive trip in Bangladesh. He felt optimistic on seeing the aspirations of people . He said let us not forget that Bangladesh is a new democracy. Referring to the election in Bangladesh Ambassador Thomas said that Bangladesh had had three successful elections and he hoped that the next election will also be free and fair. He added that the US is keeping in touch with the government and the opposition for ensuring a free and fair election in Bangladesh.
