Officials from India and Bangladesh say they have agreed to work to improve border security and increase trade and energy cooperation.
A two-day visit to Bangladesh by India's Foreign Minister Natwar Singh ended with a pledge by both countries to improve dialogue at different levels.
Mr. Singh met Bangladesh Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and other officials to discuss terrorism, religious fundamentalism, border security, trade and a proposed gas pipeline linking India, Bangladesh and Burma.
