In Tangail, nine people were killed and 40 injured in a road accident at Basail upazila. The accident occurred when a Dhaka-bound night coach from Dinajpur collided head on with a cement-laden speeding truck at Baoikhola, leaving seven people dead on the spot. Fire brigade personnel rushed the injured to Tangail General Hospital, where two of them succumbed to their injuries. Zahurul Alam has more on the story.
