Professor Burhanuddin Khan Jahangir is a Professor of Political Science in Dhaka University. He has also done research on sociological patterns.
In this interview he reflects on the reasons behind the rise of religious terrorism in Bangladesh. He thinks that the trend of politics in Bangladesh over the last few years is responsible for terrorism. He is critical of the government's role. He thinks that the only solution of the present crisis in Bangladesh is a fresh and fair election.
He suggests that government in Bangladesh has lost its credibility and so they should resign and go for a fresh mandate.
