In the wake of Islamic extremism in Bangladesh , the Christian community in the country has celebrated Christmas on Sunday amidst tight security. Christmas mass was held in nearly four hundred churches in Bangladesh each of which was guarded by law enforcing agency.
The state minister for home affairs Lutfuzzaman Babar expressed his satisfaction with the security measures taken in different churches. He. however , denied this allegation that minority community in Bangladesh have been suffering from a sense of insecurity. Christian leaders have expressed their uneasiness on the presence of so many security personnel in churches where the Christians were devoting themselves to quiet prayer. President Dr Iajuddin Ahmed hosted a dinner in order of Christian leaders in Bangladesh.
