Fog Threatens Transport Network in Bangladesh

A boatman waits for customers at the Buriganga river in Dhaka amidst fog and cold.
Recent cold waves and intense fog has proved threatening to the general people in Bangladesh. The fog has particularly created problems in the transport net work in Bangladesh . Over the last week about 200 flights, including atleast thirty international flights could not maintain their scheduled timing. On Saturday too several flights were cancelled. The scheduled flight of the British Airways was compelled to land in Delhi and a few other international flights returned after not being able to land in Dhaka. Besides water vehicles and road transports have also been asked not to operate during the dense fog. The life seems to be fully paralyzed in Bangladesh.
