Suchismita Maiti runs a school for Tagore Songs in the US state of Virginia. She comes from Midnapore in the Indian state of West Bengal. In this exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service, she talks about her training in Tagore Song .
As a former student of English Literature , she takes immense pleasure both in Bengali literature and more specifically in Tagore's songs. Ms Maiti 's objectives are essentially to train up the younger diaspora on Tagore songs so that there remains links between the present and the future generation. At the end of the interview we also hear one of her songs.
