Bangladesh Ambassador to USA, Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury spoke to VOA about the protests and demonstrations against the publication of Prophet Muhammad’s cartoon.
He said there is a need for understanding among different faiths and it is extremely regrettable that such cartoons were published. He said Bangladesh government has taken steps to protect foreign embassies in the country.
The ambassador also spoke about the Inter-Faith Conference organized by the government in Dhaka after the Prime Minister’s return from her trip to Pakistan.
