Amitabha Chakrabarti is the Director General of the News Division at Doordarshan television in India. He interviewed President Bush before the President’s upcoming Pakistan –India visit.
Mr. Chakrabarti spoke to VOA about his experience in interviewing Mr. Bush. He was impressed that President Bush was informal and sincere. President spoke about strengthening Indo-US relations, need for Indian democracy to be successful and the benefit of outsourcing. The President also said that he will be speaking to Pakistan’s President about terrorist training camps in Pakistan.
