Almost four thousand election workers in Siliguri , a city in Darjeeling District of the Indian state of West Bengal started protesting against certain loopholes from the administration and threatened to boycott taking polls.
The District Commissioner and the head of the police in Darjeeling apologized for the problems but the election officials reacted angrily. Later on Saturday night the Chief Election Officer of West Bengal went to Siliguri and convinced them to restart their work for the polling to be held on Monday.
