President Iajuddin Ahmed of Bangladesh went through a bypass surgery at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore today. His arteries were found blocked and he was flown to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore in an air ambulance from Dhaka.
Iajuddin was admitted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka on Tuesday for a medical check-up. A seven-member medical board, headed by Prof MA Malek, was formed for his treatment. On being advised by the medical board , he was flown to Singapore on Wednesday.
